1880 United States Census

The United States Census of 1880 was the tenth United States Census. It was done by the Census Bureau during June 1880.[1] It was the first time that women were allowed to be enumerators.[2] The Superintendent of the Census was Francis Amasa Walker.[3]

The 1880 census found the population of the United States to be 50,189,209. This was an increase of 30.2 percent from the 1870 Census.[4]
