Arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville)
The arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville), or simply arrondissement of Château-Chinon, is an arrondissement of France. It is part of the Nièvre département in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comtéregion. Its capital is the city of Château-Chinon (Ville).

History
changeWhen the Nièvre department was created on 17 February 1800, the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) was part of that original department.[2]
Geography
changeThe arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) is bordered to the north by the arrondissement of Clamecy, to the northeast by the Côte-d'Or (Burgundy) department, to the east and south by the Saône-et-Loire (Burgundy) department and to the west by the arrondissement of Nevers.
It is the westernmost of the arrondissements of the department, with an area of 1,929.1 km2 (744.8 sq mi),[3] the second largest in area of the department. It has 25,717 inhabitants and a population density of 13.3 inhabitants/km².[4]
