Elvira Orphée

Argentine writer (1922-2018)

Elvira Amanda Orphée (29 May 1922[1] – 26 April 2018) was an Argentine writer.[2] She was born in San Miguel de Tucumán. Orphée has published short stories and articles in various publications such as El Tiempo, Revista de Occidente, Asomante, Cuadernos, Razon and Zona Franca e Imagen.[3]

She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Creative Arts in 1988.[4]

Orphée died on 26 April 2018 in Buenos Aires at the age of 95.[5]
