Fakir Family

The Fakir Family or Fakir Khana family is an old family of Lahore, now in Pakistan. They are famous for having made the Fakir Khana Museum in the old walled city of Lahore.[1]

The family is of Syed origins. They first became famous in the Mughal times.[2] Later, two members Fakir Syed Azizuddin and Fakir Syed Nooruddin were ministers of the Punjab government in the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.[3] They were also respected by the British rulers.
