Object history Der Hammer und das Glasblasrohr weisen auf zwei für den Ort wichtige Erwerbszweige hin. Schon im Mittelalter nutzten die Bewohner die Bodenschätze und den Holzreichtum und betrieben Bergbau und Glasbläserei. Der rote Hirschrumpf ist aus dem Wappen der Herren von Hirschberg entnommen. Ihre Herrschaft kam 1360 an die Burggrafen von Nürnberg. Daran erinnern die Farben Silber und Schwarz.
