Georg Waitz (Austrian footballer)
Georg Waitz (23 January 1909 – March 1993) was an Austrian soccer player. He played for different teams in Vienna. He also played for the Austrian national football team during the Wunderteam era.

Career
changeWaitz was promoted in the 1927–28 season with SC Nicholson in the first division. In the following years Nicholson was able to stay in the league after the renaming of FC Wien. Waitz was one of the constants in the line-up. In September 1930 he scored four goals in a league game in an 8-0 against Wiener AC.
In 1934 Georg Waitz left his regular club and moved to Wiener AC, where he did not even play for a full season. During the spring round he joined the second division club 1. Favoritner FC Vorwärts 06 and returned to FC Wien in early 1936. In 1937 he finally accepted an offer from the French professional league and played for RC Lens for a season.
