The Golden Age of Comic Books was the start of modern comics and the creation of known superheroes like Superman, Batman, Robin, Captain Marvel, Captain America, and Wonder Woman. The Golden Age started with the first appearance of Superman in Action Comics #1 (1938)[1] and ended before the first appearance of Barry Allen / Flash in Showcase #4 (1956).[2]
