Győr-Moson-Sopron County

administrative district in the extreme north-west Hungary

Győr-Moson-Sopron (Hungarian: Győr-Moson-Sopron megye, pronounced [ˈɟøːr ˈmoʃon ˈʃopron ˈmɛɟɛ]; German: Komitat Raab-Wieselburg-Ödenburg; Slovak: Rábsko-mošonsko-šopronská župa) is a county in north-western Hungary, nearing Slovakia and Austria. The capital of the region is Győr. The region merged with Győr-Moson and Sopron to create "Győr-Moson-Sopron".
