Immanuel Wallerstein

American sociologist and economic historian (1930–2019)

Immanuel Maurice Wallerstein (/ˈwɔːlərstn/;[1] September 28, 1930 – August 31, 2019) [2] was an American sociologist, economic historian and world-systems analyst. His best known works helped developed the world-systems approach.[3] He published bimonthly commentaries through Agence Global on world affairs from October 1998 to July 2019.[4][5]
