Indiana University of Pennsylvania (or IUP) is a public university in the borough of Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA, 55 miles (89 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. It is the largest university in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PaSSHE) and is the state's fifth largest university. It is governed by a local Council of Trustees and the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.[1] IUP has branch campuses at Punxsutawney, Northpointe, and Monroeville.
