Joey Castillo

American drummer

Joseph Castillo (born March 30, 1966) is an American drummer. He is best known for playing the drums for Queens of the Stone Age from 2002 to 2012. He is a member of many bands. He is in Circle Jerks, Zakk Sabbath, The Bronx, and Doom Regulator. He was also in Danzig, Wasted Youth, Eagles of Death Metal, and California Breed.[1][2]

From 1994 to 2002, Castillo was the drummer for Danzig. He helped the band make three studio albums. In 2002, he joined Queens of the Stone Age. He joined the band after they made Songs for the Deaf. This was their first popular album. He played the drums for the band at concerts. He helped the band make three albums: Lullabies to Paralyze (2005), Era Vulgaris (2007) and ...Like Clockwork (2013). While Queens of the Stone Age was making ...Like Clockwork, Josh Homme made Castillo leave the band.[3]
