Josh Hawley

American lawyer and politician (born 1979)

Joshua David Hawley (born December 31, 1979) is an American politician. He is the senior United States Senator of Missouri since January 3, 2019.

He was the Attorney General of Missouri from 2017 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party.

He was born in Springdale, Arkansas. Hawley studied at Stanford University and at Yale University. He is a former law clerk to Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court.

In October 2017, Hawley announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate.[1] He defeated Claire McCaskill in the general election in November 2018.[2]
