Japanese manga artist (1961-2022)

Kazuki Takahashi (高橋 和希, Takahashi Kazuki, also known as Kazuo Takahashi (高橋 一雅, Takahashi Kazuo); October 4, 1961 – July 4, 2022)[1][2][3] was a Japanese manga artist and game creator. He was best known for creating Yu-Gi-Oh!.

On July 6, 2022, Takahashi was found dead off the shore of Nago, Japan.[4] Takahashi had been wearing snorkeling gear at the time of his death.[5] It was discovered that he was attacked by a Blacktip reef shark and drowned on July 4, 2022.[6][7]
