Kelly Ann Bates (18 May 1978 – 16 April 1996) was an English girl who was abducted, raped, abused, neglected, malnourished, starved, dehydrated, and torture murdered. The abduction, rape, abuse, and torture murder was perpetrated for about 1 month by her abusive boyfriend, James Patterson Smith, in his house, where he torture murdered her by drowning her in his bathtub.
