Kid Vinil

Brazilian singer, radio broadcaster, composer and journalist

Kid Vinil, stage name of Antônio Carlos Senefonte[1] (10 March 1955 – 19 May 2017),[2] was a Brazilian singer, radio broadcaster, composer and journalist. He became famous[3] in the Brazilian rock of the 1980s.[4] He was born in Cedral, Brazil.

Vinil was the vocalist of the Brazilian band Magazine, that used to execute the songs Tic Tic Nervoso (composed by Marcos Serra and Antonio Luiz), A Gata Comeu, Sou Boy and Glub Glub No Clube, all three composed by Vinil himself. In the beginning of the 1980s, he had been member of Verminose, a band of the genres punk rock and rockabilly.

Vinil died on 19 May 2017 from cardiac arrest in São Paulo, Brazil at the age of 62.[5]
