Leif Selim Segerstam (/ˈleɪf/ LAYF, sv; 2 March 1944 – 9 October 2024) was a Finnish conductor, composer, violinist, and pianist. He was known for writing over 350 symphonies. He conducted many orchestras in American, Australian and European countries.[1][2] He was born in Vaasa, Finland.
Segerstam died on 9 October 2024 in Helsinki, Finland at the age of 80.[3]
