Markwayne Mullin

American politician (born 1977)

Mark Wayne "Markwayne" Mullin (born July 26, 1977) is an American politician, businessman, and former professional mixed martial arts fighter who is the U.S. Senator from Oklahoma since 2023. He is a member of the U.S. House of Representative for Oklahoma's 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party.

In February 2022, Mullin announced his candidacy for the United States Senate in the 2022 special election to replace retiring Senator Jim Inhofe.[1] He won the Republican nomination in the August 2022 run-off primary. He won the general election in November 2022, beating Democrat Kendra Horn.

He is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation.[2]
