Paul Hester

Australian musician (1959–2005)

Paul Newell Hester (8 January 1959 – 26 March 2005) was an Australian musician and television personality. He is best known as the drummer for the rock bands Split Enz and Crowded House. He last performed with Crowded House in 1996. He later worked on television and radio. He was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He was the father of two daughters.

Hester had depression in his final years. He killed himself on 26 March 2005 in Brighton, Melbourne, at the age of 46.[1]
