Portimão

Portimão is a city and municipality in the Faro District in Portugal. In 2022, 60,879 people lived there. Its area is 182.06 km². The main industries are fishing, shipbuilding and tourism. It is known for its motorsport and its football club called Portimonense S.C.. There was a large earthquake in 1755 that was severely destroyed as many buildings, but was soon rebuilt.
