It topped the single charts in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United States. It went to number 2 in Italy and South Africa. It went to number 4 in the United Kingdom. It was covered by American metal band Disturbed in 2000.
