The PGA page looks a little crowded at the moment, so I hope others don't mind me putting my comments here instead.

This is obviously a good candidate, and Pmlineditor has done an excellent job simplifying the techy language. I notice the perspective is fairly focused on Florida, but this is probably a reflection of the sources used or available. One concern in regards to sourcing is that the history section relies on a single source; adding one or two supplementary sources in there might be a good idea, if any are available.

  • I've done a quick copyedit of the 2nd paragraph, but it might need more. The wording would seem to indicate that the storm itself built the opposing high-pressure ridge next to it...

  • In paragraph 3, it says the storm was expected to make landfall somewhere in Florida. But the preceding sentence indicates that it already made landfall in western Cuba. From the wording, I might conclude that the forecast was wrong, but from reading the source, I'm presuming this is the forecast for the U.S. only. Needs clarifying in the text.
    Clarified. Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 18:51, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • There are a few phrases that could use simplifying a bit more. For example, "The storm turned extratropical by undergoing extratropical transition..."—as the only links in this sentence are basic wiktionary ones for individual words, I've actually no idea what this means.

  • There also may be some non-essential "big words" that could be substituted with simpler words (such as "spawned", "remnants" and "aloft").
      Fixed Remnants left as is however. Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 18:51, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • The highest winds per minute average given in the infobox could use a source. It'd also be interesting to know where on the storm's track this was recorded, if that information is available.
Unfortunately, I can't find any source for this; even the enwiki FAs don't have sources for highest winds per minute apparently. I'll search a little more and see if I can get one though. Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 18:51, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Not many of the red links look particularly pertinent to the topic, so I'm fine with leaving those. Assuming the American Red Cross is a national chapter of the ICRC, this link might be better piped to International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement than left as red.

I've made a few general fixes. That's all I've got. I'll help out further where I can. Osiris (talk) 23:00, 7 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
