initiative to tackle marine pollution

Team Seas (stylized as #TEAMSEAS) is an international fundraiser. It was started by YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober. They created it as a follow-up to Team Trees. The fundraiser has raised over 33 million U.S. dollars. All of the donations from the fundraiser go to the Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup. The fundraiser says it will remove 30,000,000 pounds (14,000,000 kg) of marine debris from the ocean. It says it will remove 1 pound (0.45 kg) of marine debris from the ocean for every 1 dollar donated.[1] As of 7 October 2023, $33,482,479 has been raised.
