The Simple Life: With Angie and Dakota

The Simple Life with Angie & Dakota is an IMVU reality television series starring Angie and Dakota from Love Connection. It depicts the two wealthy socialites, as they struggle to do menial, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants, and working as camp counselors. The series premiered on April 2, 2022

Season 2 was announced in September of 2022 with a premiere date of October 19, 2023. This season featured guest cameo appearances made by Sapphire, Ash, Omar and Amy from the Love Connection franchise. The season finale was a double feature which is an extend episode which aired on December 17, 2024.

Season 3 was announced on January 1, 2025, revealing to have a Summer air date. Several scenes were filmed back in 2022 with Angela and Tyle from VirtualMTV and a scene with Emily and Dakota.

Format

In the first season, Angie and Dakota agreed to leave behind their cellphones, credit cards and celebrity status to move in with the Ledding family in Altus, Arkansas working various minimal wage jobs for a month. In the second season, travel by bus working various internships with companies and staying with different families across the East Coast of the United States. In season 3 the girls were hired as camp counselors for an adult summer camp.

Season 1

Episode 1 "Welcome to Arkansas"
Aired April 2, 2022

Angie and Dakota boards their private jet to enter a location to their surprise. They land in Arkansas where they meet the Ledding family who sends them to the grocery store to buy groceries for dinner. Dakota and Angie who are not use to having limited money and shopping on a budget is given $50 and a shopping list. The two struggle while going over their budget and had to make sacrifice's after Dakota put things outside of their given grocery list in their cart. For dinner, the girls and the Ledding family chatted to get to know each other, and Dakota ask if they hang out at Walmart. Angie asks "What is Walmart? Do they sell like wall stuff?" which made the family laugh. At the end of their first night, the girls hangs out with Justin and saw how cute he is, Dakota expressed to they should have a threesome with him.

Episode 2 "Dan's Dairy Farm"
Aired April 9, 2022

The next day the girls are set to work at Dan's Dairy farm where they clock in for the first time ever. Exhausted after a few hours of handling chickens, milking cows, and other heavy duty jobs, the girls decides to put their bikinis on a layout by the hot tub and then take a nap. Appalled by the girls lazy behavior, Dan decides to fire them and sent them where they face the Ledding family. The girls express how they love Janet Ledding because she is sweet and kind but Albert is very strict. The girls decides to get dolled up and sneak out the house to party.

Episode 3 "Sonics"

Week 2 starts out with the girls partying at a local dive bar being their naturally wild selves after it being revealed they had a long 3 days. The girls had their second gig lined up at Sonics fast food restaurant where the girls worked as cashiers and fry cooks. The girls decided to pull a prank after being ordered to change the marquee. They spell something inappropriate and laugh at their supervisor's reaction. The girls finished their day and were dismissed from that job. Later that evening, Angie and Dakota hangs out with Justin as he tells them about his ex girlfriend drama. Angie and Dakota plans on getting back at Justin's ex for breaking his heart. During week 3, Angie and Dakota were chosen to host the spring time gala, and they decide to wear skimpy outfits to the family event. The two runs into Justin's ex outside the bathroom and decides to corner her and intimidate her. After Justin's ex realized Angie and Dakota were trying to make her jealous, Angie revealed that they were kidding and continued to have fun throughout the day riding the mechanical bull.

Episode 4 "Horse Crash"

The girls are sent to their new job with J.O and his ranch, The girls are riding horses with him until Angie had an accident when her horse collided with another horse resulting in her falling off and being flown to a nearby hospital. J.O, who felt awful decided to spoil the girls by taking them for ice-cream, to the petting zoo and shopping

Episode 5 "Sausage"

Week 4 starts out with the girls going to the Skinner family to work on their farm. James Skinner, who was not very fond of Angie and Dakota constantly criticized their spoiled life-style and degraded them to typically dumb blondes. Dakota, who has had enough of him, stood up to James threating to beat his face in if he called them dumb again. The next day, the girls were booked by the Skinner family for their sexy calendar shoot with the fire fighters, while the girls are posing, James Skinner comes with an fire extinguisher and sprays Dakota, ruining her hair extensions. Dakota vowed to get her revenge. The girls were sent to work at Renee's Sausage house and sell sausage on the street. After making enough money, the girls decided to make a special sausage for James, filling it with dog food. As the girls depart from the Skinner family they gift James with his special sausage.

Episode 6 "Housekeepers"
Aired May 27, 2022

The girls are then tasked to work at a nudist resort as house keepers. Angie and Dakota are quickly weirded out by all the old people walking around in the nude. After being tasked with cleaning the hotel room of a guy who had urine on the toilet seat, the girls decided to change out of their uniforms and order room service. As the girls are eating delicious food, Dakota decides to call a made to clean the room. A housekeeper arrives and starts cleaning, while the girl's supervisor is on her way to check on them. Angie and Dakota says goodbye to their house cleaner and changes back into their uniform just intime of their supervisors check up on. Angie and Dakota are then tasked to assist in a body acceptance class to help people with their confidence on their bodies.

Episode 7 "Boys Boys Boys"
Aired June 10, 2022

As the final week ascend, the girls have met local boy toys to past the time with. The Ledding family isn't too fond of the girls hanging around the boys because they're not partaking in family activities. After being told no to going out with the boys, Angie and Dakota are enraged and decides to go out anyway for a night out at the bar with their boy toys. After having several drinks, Dakota loses her purse and flips out by throwing a tantrum and spitting on the pool table.

Episode 6 "So Long Arkansas"
Aired June 17, 2022

The girls were booed and kicked out of the bar and Dakota had to face Albert Ledding. Dakota showed that she was very remorseful in her actions and decided to pay back all their depts and apologize to Shannon the bar owner for her tantrum. After packing their belongings, its time for the girls to say their goodbyes to the Ledding family. The girls rides in their taxi back to their jet as the Ledding Family waves goodbye. The girls returns to LA in a press meeting to speak on their experiences amongst their peers.
