Westmoreland is a city in Pottawatomie County, Kansas, United States.[4] It is also the county seat of Pottawatomie County. In 2020, 740 people lived there.[3]

Westmoreland was platted in 1871.[5] It was named after Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.[6]

The 2020 census says that there were 740 people, 278 households, and 183 families living in Westmoreland. Of the households, 66.9% owned their home and 33.1% rented their home.

The median age was 37.5 years. Of the people, 92.7% were White, 1.1% were Black, 0.4% were Native American, 0.1% were Asian, 1.5% were from some other race, and 4.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.1% of the people.[3][8]
