Wolfgang Schwanitz
German politician, Stasi Generalleutnant (1930–2022)
Wolfgang Schwanitz (26 June 1930 – 1 February 2022) was a East German communist official. He was the last head of the Stasi from 1989 until 1990. He did not hold the title "Minister of State Security", but held the title of "Leader of the Office for National Security".[1][2]
