History and Features
changeThe Ford Del Rey was launched in 1981 it was the flagship car of the Brazilian lineup of Ford it had Coupé Sedan and Station wagon versions the Station wagon was called Scala until 1985 later it adopted the name Belina from the Station Wagon version of the Ford Corcel there was also a convertible prototype that was never produced.[2]
The car was offered mainly in two versions:Prata (silver) a basic version and Ouro (gold) a more luxuorious version the Del Rey also had versions called L GL GLX and Ghia (L is the basic version while Ghia is also a more luxuorious version) it had a 1.6 liter engine and a 1.8 liter engine developed by Volkswagen with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 3-speed automatic transmission.[3]
Markets
changeThe Ford Del Rey was sold mainly in Brazil but it was also sold in Uruguay Paraguay Chile and Venezuela.
Discontinuation
changeThe production of the Ford Del Rey ended in 1991 and was replaced by the Ford Versallies.
