Ichiro Suzuki (鈴木 一朗, Suzuki Ichirō) (born October 22, 1973 in Toyoyama, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan,[1] is a retired Japanese player in Nippon Professional Baseball and Major League Baseball, respectively the top pro leagues in Japan and the United States. He is generally referred to by his given name; for most of his NPB career and all of his MLB career, his uniform used "Ichiro" instead of "Suzuki".

He is the first MLB player to enter the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame and has won a Gold Glove award in each of his first ten years in the major leagues. He spent most of his carrier with the Seattle Mariners but also played for the New York Yankees and the Miami Marlins. In 2025, Ichiro became the first Japanese player to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, falling one vote short of unanimous selection.
