Sheila Copps OC PC (born November 27, 1952) is a Canadian former politician. She was the deputy Prime Minister of Canada from 1993 to 1997. She was also a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of Canada and a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Ontario Legislative Assembly. While Jean Chrétien was Prime Minister, she was a member of his cabinet.[1]

Copps tried to become the leader of both the Ontario Liberal Party and the federal Liberal Party but she failed both times.
