Template:Welcome-iw
Hello! I noticed that you may have come here from another Wikipedia, so you know a little about how things work here. I hope you like it here and decide to stay! Here are some links to help you adjust:
- An English Wikipedian's guide
- Writing in Simple English
- Where to ask questions and discuss things
- How to copy from another Wikipedia
There is a lot to do here. Most of it is writing articles that do not exist yet, which you can do by translating from other Wikipedias, but have a look around and see what you want to do. Thanks for joining us! If you need any help, be sure to visit Simple Talk or contact an administrator. Happy changing!
If you plan to make breaking changes to this template, move it, or nominate it for deletion, please notify Twinkle's users and maintainers at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle as a courtesy, as this template is used in the standard installation of Twinkle. Thank you! |
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Welcome-iw}}). |
Usage
changeThis template is used to welcome users whose interwiki contributions show that they have made many changes in another language Wikipedia.
Please substitute this template- always use it like this: {{subst:Welc-iw}}
. To specify which language Wikipedia they came from, use {{subst:Welc-iw|language code}}
. For example, French has the language code of fr, so a welcome for a user from the French Wikipedia would take the form {{subst:Welc-iw|fr}}
.
