- The text of an article is separated from flags, categories, diagrams references and so on. The reader unconsciously picks up the clues that these are different kinds of information. A stub flag should be separated from the text by a line space because it is a different kind of communication than the article content. It is not helpful to go around removing line spaces between different kinds of information. Changes to a page should be improvements. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:33, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

- No one will expect a new editor to understand all the hundreds of rules and guidelines. I have been doing this for years and I often have to go and check, like as you pointed out to me, words on the BE 1500 list. Just have a go, copy what others have done, and ask questions.
