I would like to request this right as I do go on a lot of pages and fill as much out as I can. Albeit having a little over a year away, I’ve always done this. I add infoboxes, ce, add/fix/verify and update references; Work on making some pages that are needed for things like biology taxonboxes (sometimes we are missing what the project is linked to other times it’s not in wikidata correctly and I fix that). While I don’t really create articles I do go through them and fix them and I’d like to mark them as patrolled. I’m open to any and all questions (within reason). Thank you for your consideration. Hi PDL, I went through some of the recent pages you created and they need significant amount of simplification. The pages I went through are Observation.org and Order of Merit (Portugal) and both have complex wording. A lot of sentences there can also be broken down. Please review the pages you have created, and after about 2-4 weeks, we can re-consider this. For now,

I am requesting patroller rights on this Wikipedia. I have been a registered user for over 90 days, and during this time, I've made more than 2,000 undeleted mainspace edits (verify). Additionally, I have created over 60 articles on the mainspace (verify), including 6 translations of the week (TOTW). I am familiar with the processes of QD and RFD; having nominated over 200 pages for quick deletion and many for RFD (verify). Generally I like to see people that request this to have been here atleast a year. You are quite new to this wiki. This flag is essentially admin-lite in that it autopatrols all edits so I like some lengthy time on this wiki before it is given out so as to see a history of both good edits and good behaivor etc. With little over a month worth of edits that is really hard to judge as most anyone can be good for a month. -Djsasso (talk) 16:25, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done On this wiki, the patrol right includes autopatrol, meaning that the patroller's own creations are automatically marked as patrolled. I looked at some articles you created, and they needed some work, such as better categorization, so I don't want to give this right at this time. Not done Generally on this wiki, you are expected to have made many many articles before becoming a patroller. The artilces you've created appear to be good, but you haven't made the amount that'd be expected for patroller yet. Also, I've noticed you've been tagging many pages with {{no sources}}, but this isn't really patrolling new pages, this is just making the issues they have more visible to the reader. With patroller, you are expected to make the pages patrollable, eg by adding those sources, rather than tagging that it doesn't have sources, so it can be patrolled. As Djsasso mentions above, we only really give this right to people who have been editing for over a year, at a minimum. I have been creating articles here on a daily basis. I believe granting this right would help with the workload for other patrollers. While most of the pages I have created are in simplified English and of good quality, some may not meet the same standard but I am actively working to improve them regularly and in the future.

Additionally, I am active on recent changes and Special:NewPages fighting vandalism and patrolling new pages. I believe I can contribute effectively to patrolling. I previously held NPR rights on Enwiki and have experience there, but I understand that SEWP operates differently combining both NPR and Autopatrol rights. Hi! I've created a number of articles, and quite often find myself checking through the new pages feed. I have 70 mainspace article creations (also 311 on enwiki) and I think I've gotten to grips with what's required on simple. I'd like to both reduce the burden on other patrollers to not have to patrol my work, and also help out patrolling new works. @Cactusisme: If you ask again in the future, be aware that on this wiki the patroller right includes the autopatrolled right. That means that your own page creations would not appear as needing to be patrolled. Even though you withdrew this request, I looked at some of the articles you have created here. The ones I looked at need some work, so it would not have been appropriate to let them go without patrolling. I have been editing since about May. I have made 65 articles in that time. In that time, I have tried to work in nearly every field of article creation, anti-vandalism, article expansion, etc.. Since automatic account creation, I have written 28 articles, rebuilt 3 articles and created 3 categories. There are no problems with my articles, I write them according to Simple Wiki rules and basic English. I'm adding categories and especially the sources (references) for all information. I only got a comment that I used "External links" instead of "Other websites", but I have already corrected it. If it matters, I am an quite experienced user with editor rights on plwiki, I also know how to use the rollback tool. By the way, it's a bit annoying that when I came from plwiki and started writing articles, my changes were tagged as incorrect (e.g. possible libel or vandalism or Possible Spam). Not done Thanks you for your work here. Since the patroller right includes autopatrolled, pages you create would not appear as needing to be patrolled. I looked at some of the articles you created. All the ones I looked at need some changes to get them into the kind of simple language needed here. You've only been working here for a few days, and it can take longer than that to understand the requirements here. If you want, I could work with you on one or two so you could understand the issues.
