Undeletion request (maybe?)

change

Hi! This category, Category:2011 Canadian television series endings, has 3 entries now. Should you undelete it, or should you just start it again? Sorry to bother you, but I saw you are active now and I am not sure what to do because of attribution and such. ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 23:44, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Dream Indigo! Undeletion is probably easier in terms of restoring the past contents of the category, then you can adjust it if you think it should be. I do have flood on right now, but this message should appear in recent changes, so I'm not too bothered about potential decreased scrutiny for this action under flood. I'll do this now. --Ferien (talk) 23:55, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much! I am sorry for that, I didn't know you had the flood flag, I just saw you on recent changes. Thanks again! ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 00:00, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Dream Indigo: No worries! For some reason applying the flood flag is a bit glitchy, as when you apply it that logged action is also hidden on recent changes, whereas removing it is not. --Ferien (talk) 00:01, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Can you delete all the empty categories I am creating while moving? Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 12:11, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Cactusisme, alright, I'll try to keep up with those! Just so you know, I just reversed your moves from 680 deaths to 680s deaths, as there are enough pages for both to exist. --Ferien (talk) 12:15, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, thanks Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 12:15, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ferien What are you planning to do with TBA phase 1 and 2? They have become backlogged again. Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 06:17, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Cactusisme, I think these should be fairly easy to handle. What I am going to do when I next get back on my laptop is setup a section on the WikiProject page to give attention to the old cleanup categories and keep them empty. --Ferien (talk) 08:04, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, thanks Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 09:29, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ferien@Cactusisme: I just left a message on Cactus's talk page: the "<year> births" and "<year> deaths" categories are usually kept even if they have fewer than three entries. I've asked Cactus to revert the changes that were made for those. As for the categories that were deleted, either Cactus can recreate them or an admin can restore them (preferred). -- Auntof6 (talk) 16:02, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Auntof6, you're welcome to restore all the ones I deleted. If you prefer I can restore them tomorrow when I have access to my laptop again. --Ferien (talk) 20:06, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6 I was offline so I didn't see the messages. Can an admin restore them? I can really edit not. Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 22:13, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cactusisme: I'm restoring them now. -- Auntof6 (talk) 01:08, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cactusisme: OK, I've restored all the "<year> births" and "<year> deaths" categories I saw that you emptied, plus the necessary year categories. When you move the articles back, let me know if you see any that I missed. Thanks. -- Auntof6 (talk) 01:13, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6   Done Moved the articles back Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 04:11, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cactusisme: Thanks very much! Do you want to coordinate on any of this so you can do some, too? I pretty much have a handle on the rest of the establishment and disestablishment ones because I've configured some tools to handle them, but there are others that could be done. -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:15, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Cactusisme: Would you like to work on the events categories that I mentioned on User:Ferien/TBA/P3? I don't know if you understood what I had in mind, but I could give you an outline if that's something you want to do. -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:28, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sure, can you give an outline? Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 04:29, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cactusisme: OK. I did 2004 as an example. Here's what I did.
  • Created Category:2004 events
  • Recategorized the "<month> 2004 events" categories under the new category.
  • Deleted the "2004 events by month" category. We won't need the by-month categories any more. (I didn't just move it to the new name because that would mean having to deal with Wikidata.) You can't delete a category, of course, but you can just QD them under housekeeping with a note explaining what you're doing.
  • Looked in Category:2004 for other events to put into the new category. I found one, which makes the 3-entry minimum, but there are probably others. Actually, though, we might be able to make the "<year> events" categories exceptions to the 3-entry rule if we need to. That can be discussed, but don't worry about it for now.
  • The two existing "<month> 2004 events" categories that I put in the new category already had the minimum 3 entries. If they hadn't had enough, I could have either looked for more things to put into them, or moved their contents up to Category:2004 events and deleted them.
After there are enough "<year> events" categories, we can create a new "Events by year" category to hold them.
If you have any questions, please ask before you start. The categories that are already tagged as underpopulated can count toward the TBA project. After you finish those, you might want to look for others that are also underpopulated and take care of those as well. They might not count toward TBA, but they'll need to be done anyway. -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:58, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6 Can you check this move too, Category:1986 events by month Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 06:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cactusisme: Did you see where I said, "I didn't just move it to the new name because that would mean having to deal with Wikidata."? Don't move the "<year> events by month" categories to the new "<year> events" names. They aren't categorized correctly for the new name, and they end up connected to a Wikidata item that they don't match. I'm going to move it back, and you can create the "<year> events" category as a new category. -- Auntof6 (talk) 06:45, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Actually, no, I'll just fix what's there. But don't do any more of those moves. -- Auntof6 (talk) 06:46, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh, okay Cactus🌵 spiky ouch 06:46, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The Cappadocian calendar was a solar calendar that was derived from the Persian Zoroastrian calendar. It is named after the historic region Cappadocia in present-day Turkey, where it was used. The calendar, which had 12 months of 30 days each and five epagomenal days, originated between 550 and 330 BC, when Cappadocia was part of the Persian Achaemenid Empire. The Cappadocian calendar was identical to the Zoroastrian calendar; this can be seen in its structure, in the Avestan names and in the order of the months. The Cappadocian calendar reflects the Iranian cultural influence in the region.

Question

change

Do you think the things I did in the discussions about Cyber.Eyes.2005 (throwing accusations and such) would make administrators (like you) deny me rights? (I have apologized for my mistakes and promise never to act like I did again.) 🪐Haumeon●🪐 20:33, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Haumeon: I wouldn't think so. You recognised your mistakes and apologised for your actions. Of course, use your best judgement – we all make mistakes, but applying for rights, say a day or a few days after probably isn't the best idea. --Ferien (talk) 20:37, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I'm barely over a month old anyway. Just wondering, is a month and a half too early for rollback? 🪐Haumeon●🪐 20:40, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Haumeon: When reviewing rollback requests, I am looking for a candidate who has reverted a lot of vandalism with a high accuracy rate. In other words, I am looking at the amount you've needed to revert and whether those reverts were good, because we don't want rollback to be used on good-faith edits. BRPever said on your request he would like to see at least two months, and I would agree that's a good benchmark, but I wouldn't focus on the time you've spent editing too much. --Ferien (talk) 20:52, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

The wildlife of the archipelago of Bahrain, is more varied than might be expected of this small group of islands in the Persian Gulf. Apart from a strip of the north and west of the main island, where crops are grown with irrigation, the land is arid. With a very hot dry summer, a mild winter, and brackish groundwater, the plants need adaptations in order to survive. Nevertheless, 196 species of higher plant have been recorded here, as well as about seventeen species of terrestrial mammals, many birds and reptiles, and many migratory birds visit the islands in autumn and spring.

Hi MathXplore, I completely understand why you did it.
