Hello I am moving various templates such as uw and other utility templates and their docs over from the enwiki that we are missing here then simplifying them. With the right, I am hoping to do them much faster. I already hold rollback here and various other rights across other projects. Thank you. BobherryTalkMy Changes02:43, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How many of these do you expect to do? Also, how are you determining that a template is missing? Not everything that's redlinked or listed as a wanted template is actually needed here. -- Auntof6 (talk) 02:55, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Lately I have noticed several Level 3 warning templates are missing and also disclosures which is what I have been working on lately. I'll start working on bringing over doc pages tomorrow. Thank you. Regarding how many I will bring over as many as the need be. BobherryTalkMy Changes03:01, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you provide examples of these level 3 warning templates? I know some are hidden from twinkle (uw-spam actually goes up to 4) but not every warning needs to go up to level 3 imo. — *Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page03:07, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it is necessary for you to have transwiki importer. As other users have pointed out in past importer discussions, there are many opportunities for things to go wrong with importer and the way to fix those mistakes is most often page deletion. You don't have access to the delete tool which means if something goes wrong, an admin will have to go and clear a lot of it up. The main reason why I am opposing though is because importer won't be useful in the scenario you've described. The import tool is intended for large tasks where you are importing multiple templates at once. With this it sounds as though you will be going through them one by one and simplifying them. If you are doing that already then you might as well just copy and paste, importer would save a minimal amount of time and it's not worth the hassle of granting you the right and the potential dangers etc. --Ferien (talk) 16:35, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
