Morneo06
Welcome
changeHello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:
- An English Wikipedian's guide
- Writing in Simple English
- Simple talk: our help desk, reference desk and village pump- in one page
- How to copy from English Wikipedia
There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need help. --Ferien (talk) 17:43, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
Warning in SWViewer
changeHi there, I'm not sure if you are aware but you can warn users without having to leave SWViewer. Just press the custom revert and turn "Warn user" on. Press the issue with the content and SWViewer will revert and warn all in one go. Best regards, --Ferien (talk) 21:48, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Ferien, I usually don't use SWViewer for warning users, so I wasn't aware of this possibility but thank you for bringing this to my attention. Best regards, –Morneo06 (talk) 22:15, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oh ok. I was just letting you know as it saves quite a lot of time for me :) Best regards, --Ferien (talk) 13:48, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
Please explain to me, because the deletion Nasty bits (talk) 23:36, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, the person Guti Ribeiro is clearly not notable (Wikipedia:Notability). Therefore I tagged the article under section A4 of the quick deletion criteria. –Morneo06 (talk) 23:46, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
South West Africa
changeI did the move for you, since I could do the delete and the move at the same time. I'll leave it to you to update the spelling in the text, and also, if you want, to update things that link to the old spelling. Although if you want, I could do either or both of those quickly with AWB. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:13, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for moving and deleting; I am going to update spelling and checking links myself. Morneo06 (talk) 20:18, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Thanks for catching the wrong spelling. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:49, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) If you want to delete a wrong page name of an article you created, then after moving the correct page name, just blank the page with wrong name. An admin will automatically delete it. Haoreima (talk) 13:17, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Haoreima: I wouldn't say it's automatic, because an admin might not see that the page was blanked. It's best to make a QD request for something like that, using option G7. --Auntof6 (talk) 14:01, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

QDs
changeHi - On those with the redirects, you can remove the redirect yourself. Then, if they are an IP or non-existent user, you can request a QD for non-existent user. I did that to a couple of them already. I also provided advice to the user who did all of that. A lot of times, with new users we want to coach them on how to do things rather than going for the jugular and just posting warnings on their pages (in this event, all the QD notices). PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? (Pronouns: He, him, his) 19:32, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- You are right, it would have been better to provide advice instead of just requesting QD, but I am not really sure if it is an advantage to first remove the rd or just posting the qd tag. On this page you removed the qd tag (U5) placed my me and the rd and shortly after that you re-added a qd tag for the same reason. Why? Morneo06 (talk) 20:02, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I didn't realize that as the others you tagged the same with the redirect. Again apologies for that, my mistake. It is best to remove the RD this way it is not redirecting, as we do not know when admins will get to the page to delete it. This helps keep it clean and other re-directs working as they should without confusion to the simple readers. Hope that makes sense. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? (Pronouns: He, him, his) 20:06, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- I always thought that placing content above the rd (e. g. QD tags) deactivates it like here, but if it is a typical thing in simple to also remove the rd manually, then I will do that too. Morneo06 (talk) 20:11, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- Not to my knowledge. It is just a tag. Let me find out and I will get back to you in a moment. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? (Pronouns: He, him, his) 20:16, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Stub tag for Fatal familial insomnia
changeI noticed that you put a med-stub tag on Fatal familial insomnia. I think it should be a biology stub instead. Biology is more specific than medicine. Just my opinion. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:56, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Done I think both are fine, so I changed it. Morneo06 (talk) 11:43, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Reverted
changeHello! I reverted two of your recent edits in the pages, Khamenchatpa and Kajenglei, for those edits are found not to be too useful. I mean the images are very important to make people of other culture, to understand what it's properly. Hope you will not mind! Regards! Haoreima (talk) 04:06, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Haoreima I still don't think that these pictures are useful, especially not if centered. The article Khamen Chatpa currently has 5 pictures, 4 are displaying nearly the same thing. Also the pictures are displayed in the references section, which isn't the place where they belog and are making the article way too long only filled with white space and pictures. Morneo06 (talk) 14:18, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- That's why "gallery" section is separately put in wikipedia article pages. If you don't want images to be in top (because it takes too much space), then either lessen the image size or put it into gallery, but don't remove it. Regards! Haoreima (talk) 14:22, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- Just naming a section "Gallery" don't makes a group of pictures to a gallery. Either you add the
<gallery>
and</gallery>
tag or you remove the images showing nearly the same and are unnecessary (which I would prefer). Morneo06 (talk) 15:11, 9 September 2021 (UTC)- I was really shocked to find that you removed the pictures from the articles I created recently. Well, I added
<gallery>
and</gallery>
tag. Instead of removing, one could easily save them, in good faith. Am I right? And regarding the case of not answering in the discussion, I thought, after my last statement here, the discussion is over. If you want to continue, you should ping me. Else, I don't keep your talk page in my watchlist. So, you won't get response. Regards! Haoreima (talk) 12:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)- @Haoreima: If we're currently discussing something, then I assume that you watchlist my talk page. It's not my responsibility to ping you over and over again. Anyway, I removed the
center
tag to save some space, should be fine now. –Morneo06 (talk) 13:10, 12 September 2021 (UTC)- I am ok with your last edit in Kajenglei and much with Khamenchatpa. But removing "center" makes the sentence less stylish (just my opinion) :)! Haoreima (talk) 13:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

Matrix (geology): QD declined..
changeHello Morneoo6, I declined your QD request for Matrix (geology). If you still think the article is too complex, please file a RfD. Thank you.--Eptalon (talk) 20:00, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know about that. I've just added {{complex}}, a RfD isn't really necessary. Morneo06 (talk) 20:41, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
From English to simple English
changeHi Morneo06,
Is it OK to post existing articles such as Otto Seitz and Eduard von Gebhardt on this WK version where they wouldn't be orphan while keeping the attribution ? They're already short and easy to read. Of course needed modifications would be done.
Also, I don't know how to turn {{Ill|Paide (urban municipality)|en}} into Paide (that is by dropping the (urban municipality) part.
Thanks for your help, LouisAlain (talk) 19:56, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- @LouisAlain: Yes, that is possible if the article is simple enough and if you provide valid attribution. Morneo06 (talk) 12:53, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. LouisAlain (talk) 16:17, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Happy Holiday
changeHello Morneo06: Enjoy the holiday season and winter solstice if it's occurring in your area of the world, and thanks for your work to maintain, improve and expand Wikipedia. Cheers, Haoreima (talk) 18:36, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

An editor has requested deletion of Imran Manzoor, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2022/Imran Manzoor and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. BRP ever 09:33, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
